Switchboard is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that runs and keeps track of Claude Code sessions. It puts sessions started in the app and in the terminal into one window, for developers who use Claude Code on Macs with Apple Silicon or Windows 10 and 11.
What it does
- One list of all sessions across every project and Claude account, with sessions that need you at the top and notifications when a session needs you or finishes.
- A queue where you write prompts in advance and start each one with a click; nothing starts by itself.
- A focus limit that caps how many sessions run at the same time and asks before you start one more.
- Project pages with sessions, worktrees, branches and actions, plus cleanup of finished worktrees after one confirmation.
- A Changes panel for staging, unstaging or reverting files and opening diffs inline, with a terminal one key away per session.
- A VS Code companion extension that sends selected lines, files, problems and terminal output to a session; it also works in Cursor and Windsurf.
